Juvéderm™ is used to smooth out wrinkles, plump lips, remove smile lines, nasolabial folds and acne scars.
Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our body and helps maintain youthful, elastic skin; however, we lose it as we age. Juvéderm™ injections contain a hyaluronic acid gel, a natural complex sugar that bolsters elasticity. It's injected below the skin's surface to cushion and hydrate the skin, leaving it smoother, more supple and more refreshed looking - immediately.
The pliant gel provides a smoother, more natural-looking appearance than some of the more rigid treatments and is thought to last longer. After six to twelve months, the biocompatible compound is naturally absorbed into the body.

| During-Treatment: What to Expect Before and During Treatment | |
| Q: | What are the treatments like? How long do they take? |
| A: | Treatments with SculptraAesthetic typically take 15-30 minutes. Immediately before treatment, the area where the injections will be given is cleaned with an antiseptic, and a local anesthetic cream or injection may be applied. Then, using a very fine needle, SculptraAesthetic is injected in small amounts beneath the surface of the skin. Multiple injections will be needed. After the treatment session, the areas where you were injected will be massaged. Your physician will describe the aftercare routine that he or she recommends for you. |
